My name is Edward and I live in Bristol with my wife and children. I am a doctor. I look after people’s health. I see patients, prescribe medicines or treatments, talk to patients about how to stay healthy, respond to emergencies, and I regularly read books and medical journals or take classes to keep my knowledge up-to-date!
It is Monday morning and I am reading a medical journal about a potential cancer cure. It is very interesting! At the moment, I am having a cup of tea and some biscuits in the coffee shop of the hospital. My break usually finishes at twelve o’clock, and then I go back to see my patients.
I love my job because I am a doctor and I use my knowledge and experience to help people to live healthy lives. However, I have to work very long hours and I have to be available for emergencies, what makes difficult to stay with my family the whole weekend.
